Allison's Birthday!

I was treated to a special birthday breakfast in bed this past Monday. Yes, January 26th was my 32nd birthday. It was a wonderful day! I did not have to cook and I was blessed to be around my loved ones. The kids and I went to Chick-fil-a for lunch. Greg took me to an early dinner to a great Thai restaurant. We then came home and celebrated my 32 years with specialty cup cakes from Lu Li's and presents.

Greg and the kids made me feel so special on my birthday. I thank God for blessing me with Greg, our children and another year of life.

Check Out the Pictures!

::thank you Sarah Grizzle for taking all the great pictures and celebrating with us::

Race Day!

Saturday, January 24th was the annual Matanzas 5K and fun run. I was out of town so, Greg took all the kids and participated in the fun run. Initially Gabby and Greg were going to run and Matthew and Alex would sit comfortably in the jogging stroller. Matthew insisted that he wanted to run the race along side Gabby and his daddy. Greg agreed figuring if Matthew got tired he could just hop into the jogging stroller.

Well, I am happy to say that Matthew ran the whole 1 mile race. His version of the story states that he beat Greg to the finish line. Thanks to Ms. Judith who helped Greg out by pushing Alex while he ran with Matthew. Gabby decided to run this race solo and ran ahead of Greg and Matthew and finished strong. I was so sad not to be there to witness this exciting event. I do look forward to the next fun run when we can all run together.

Great Job Gabby and Matthew!

The Dojo!

The dojo is Greg's workout area in our home aka tech center. P90X is a DVD based workout. Everything he needs fits in the dojo. He plays the DVD's on the computer, plays music on his ipod and he is officially working out.

Well, Matthew has caught the workout bug. He wants to be jut like daddy. He has his computer set up and is listening to Gabby's ipod shuffle in his dojo aka the dining room. I could not resist taking some pictures.

Princess Place Preserve

Last Saturday we got in the car and headed south to Flagler county to go on a picnic. We headed to Princess Place Preserve. When telling the kids about where we were going they thought it was a park with monkey bars and swings. We informed them it was not that kind of park. They were a little disappointed but after seeing the beautiful trees and trails they quickly forgot about the monkey bars and slides.

Oh, how beautiful is God's creation! Why haven't we found this place sooner? We enjoyed lunch under the huge trees and the kids had a great time climbing them. We walked the trails and just enjoyed taking in all the wonderful things that God created. It was such a peaceful time. I especially enjoyed observing the kids take it all in. We had a great time and look forward to going back soon. Here are some pictures from our time at the Preserve.

Walking!

Well it's a New Year and Alex decided to start the year off on the right foot literally...he's walking! We are very excited about this phase in his life. We have truly enjoyed each and every moment in his development and look forward to many more new and exciting firsts in his life.
